A couple of weeks ago, I did a post on My Morning Statement of Faith (click the link to read it), which are five statements that I came up with for myself of things I need to be reminded of first thing in the morning. I kind of threw them at you with only a little explanation of why these statements were the ones I came up with, so I decided to do a series of posts to kind of zoom in on my particular “morning statements.” I still encourage you to come up with your own.

Are you a morning person? I am. I seem to be more alert in the mornings, making it easier to concentrate and get things accomplished. I’m sure the multiple cups of coffee I enjoy don’t hurt, either. Sometime in the afternoon, I feel myself start to get sluggish. I’m more easily distracted and just don’t seem to be able to get quite as much done. Because of this pattern, I try to start each morning off right because I know I have a limited amount of time where I will be operating at “peak” levels. How do you start your mornings?
